Rerouting Water.

It started out differently at work this morning as not only were they trying to balance the New Chemicals in Section 5but after months of Section 9just sitting idle it was finally working this morning. The reason for doing so were the new Aluminium Partsthat were being runthrough the Paint-Line and theyneeded the extra cleaning. That all sounds good but it also caused another problem. Since this pump was sending the Waterthrough smaller diameter Pipesit was making it hit the Partsat a higher pressure causing them to twist around inside the Washer. The rest of the day was spent preparing an add in Pipethat make it more manageable.

There was a lot of measuring on the Spoolso that a section could be removed then adding a “T” Jointin order to divert the Excess Water. It also meant measuring and marking where a Holewould have to be cut through the Steel Base Plateso the Excess Waterwould just be returned to the Tankfor diluting any Chemical Blendthat would find its way to that final Section.

Needing to be done ASAPI was told we would do it at the end of the shift. I passed the information on to Kathy when I spoke to her while on my lunch.

Murphywas not helping when the Washerwas finally shut down for theDay. Wanting to use the Plasma Cutterproved useless when there was no ~~Power~~at the plug so I did it the old fashion way using the Oxy-Acetylene Torch. Paul was amazed how smooth a cut I was able to make using the Torch. Once everything was reassembled we noted another change that will have to be made.

I called Kathy to say I was on my way so she could makeItalian Wedding Soupfor supper. It was past 7:00 by the time I walked into the Apartment. The Souptasted wonderful and it was topped off with a piece of Fruit Cakefor dessert.
