Kathy once again slept like a rock while I had a few more restful moments then the night before. I had nearly finished getting things ready for breakfast when Kathy joined me this morning. We talked of what we needed to do today before moving to the Computers.

Between our reading and morning chores we spent time doing inventory of our food stocks. Even though we have slightly built a small stock pile of Canned Goodswe want to replenish what we have been using because if a Second Waveof the Coronavirusreturns we won’t worry aboutempty shelves like back in April.

For lunch I modified a Garden Saladby adding Chopped Celery, Onionand Peppersseasoned with Zesty Italian Dressingthen topped off with Shredded Cheese. It was so filling that after we added an Apple Sauce Cupfor dessert we were stuffed.

We let our lunch settle before heading out the door wearing our Masks. The high temperature for the day was feeling like 72 F(22 C) but with the Windgusting to Thirty MPHwe needed to wear our jackets to feel comfortable.

Our first stop was the Tecumseh Mallwhere we went to Showcase. Since the start of the Viruswhen we see PPE go “On Sale” we’ve been picking some up. Today they were offering Reusable Masks, Face Shieldsand Hand Sanitizerat 70%off regular price.

Our next stop was at Dollarama to pick up whatever we could from our Grocery List. As I’ve mentioned before the prices we pay for food at Dollaramaare Halfof what we would pay at the grocery store. I’ve also mentioned that we have not even celebrated our Canadian Thanksgivingand their shelves are filled with Christmas Decorations.

We finally drove over to Zehr’sgrocery store to finish getting the rest of the food on our List. Each time we were walking by something we had bought at DollaramaI would simply point out the price on the shelf. That would cause Kathy to stop and shake her head knowing we had stretched our food budget by doing.

One thing we have not seen in a long time besides the nearly bare shelves where the Paper Productswere but the length of the Check-Out Line. Today the line stretched half way across the front of the store and all the way down the Cereal Aisledown to the Dairy Cases. At one point I counted Forty People waiting to get to the cashiers.

With Frozen Foodsin our Carwe headed straight home. I brought one of the largest Shopping Cartsfrom downstairs out to the parking lot to bring everything into our Apartment.

It was past 5:00 by the time we had everything put away and our lunch Saladshad worn off so it was time to cook supper. We had picked up an extra Store Bought Thin Crust Pizzafor exactly that reason. It’s the first time we’ve had a Beef Taco Pizza. It was tasty but a little too spicy for Kathy.

Watching the6 o’clock Local News we are looking at more moderate weather heading our way. A couple more Coronavirus Casesamong students one in High Schooland the other in Elementary School. They also mentioned that we can watch tomorrow night’s Vice-Presidential Debate right after the Local News.

We might do things tomorrow. Thankyou for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
