It once again felt wonderful being able to go to bed with the Bedroom Window open last night allowing all that fresh air in. Unlike Sunday night there were no noisy revelers leaving parties or birds wanting the Sun to rise earlier then the earth’s rotation would allow so we were able to have a restful night’s sleep. We were sleeping so soundly that it took the sounds of Jackhammers next door at 8:00 to wake us up with a start.
| The picture doesn't capture the noise outside. |
As we had our breakfast Muffin the noise continued but we were enjoying the slight breeze that was coming through the Balcony Door. By the short time it took for us to bring our morning Coffee/Tea to the Computers the noise level more then tripled as a couple of Bobcats (Small Front-End Loaders) started dumping mounds of broken Concrete into waiting Roll-Off Bins. Each time their buckets were emptied it sounded like an explosion resounding through the neighbourhood.
Since the forecast was for temperatures to feel like the Century Mark we succumbed to turning on our Air Conditionerand closing the Balcony Door and Bedroom Window much earlier then anticipated.
I forgot to mention yesterday that one of the things we were able to find while shopping in the produce section at Walmart was Rhubarb. We both grew up eating it and whenever we can find it in the stores we bring some home. While I was gone to the Blood Donor Clinic in the afternoon Kathy worked her magic and made it into a sauce.
For lunch today we had Toast that we spread generous helpings of Rhubarb Sauce on. We had a single Chocolate filled Croissant for dessert.
With our need to keep the noise and heat out we wanted to do something we haven’t done in a while so we watched the movie “Air Strike” starring Bruce Willis. It took place during WWII when the Japanese were attacking China from the air and what was done to stop them. We gave it an Eight out of Ten. This was one of the many movies that we purchased from the Sale Binswhile travelling in our RV.
When it came time for supper Kathy grilled some Salmon Fillets and made the dessert plates while I made a Garden Salad then topped it off with Shredded Cheese. It was all satisfying and tasty.
The6 o’clock Local News tried to explain why our Provincial Government is allowing the Chatham/Kentarea to start opening for business while keeping the Windsor/Essexarea closed. Hopefully that will change by next week. They also mentioned how much warmer tomorrow will be before the temperatures drop on Thursday.
| Tomorrow will feel like 108 F (42 C). Tomorrow and Thursday's Wind Gusts will be over 30 MPH. Saturday will feel like 61 F (16 C). |
We’ll see what we can do tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
